About

Just imagine, anything you see could be your imagination.

How would you write a story about it, to bring that imagination to life?

Born in 1966, James Ostad grew up with his family, a master tailor as a father and a passionate mother who was a strong advocate for education. Amazingly, James always ended up doing something that he did not plan for, to begin with. He wanted to become a fighter jet pilot, then a carpenter, then a tailor like his dad, but eventually, he ended up becoming an Information Technology professional. James accomplished his mother’s wish, to get an education, with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, and later on a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Moving from country to country, James felt an emptiness and connection to his past. He realized that the only way to preserve the past is to write about it. The first sign of this thought came to him when his daughters told him to write down the stories that he was telling them at bedtime. The idea started growing day after day.

Adding the first idea from his daughters to this thought of remembering his family and friends, James started his first story, Rosa and the Backyard Cricket. He decided to combine all his experiences into his writings for children, and later on, add other categories. He finished his first novel in October 2022, “Sofia, The Maid – The Beginning“, the first from its series.
